1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Pixmech ("I", "me", "my") handles information in connection with the GokovaWindapp ("the App"). I take your privacy seriously and am committed to protecting your personal data.

2. Data Collection

GokovaWind collects the following types of data to provide its functionality:

  • Device type, model, OS version, app version, and language settings
  • Unique device identifiers (for analytics and crash reporting)
  • App launch frequency, features used, and time spent in the app
  • Wind notification preferences and preferred units
  • App crashes and errors (anonymized)
  • Subscription status (free or premium)

3. Analytics & Tracking

The App may use third-party analytics and crash reporting services to help improve performance and user experience. These services collect anonymized usage data and do not include personal information.

You can manage tracking through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple — handles all in-app purchases, subscriptions, and payment processing securely
  • Analytics services (e.g., Firebase, App Store Analytics) — collect anonymized usage data to improve app performance
  • Crash reporting — automatic crash reports help identify and fix bugs (no personal information included)
  • Advertising networks (free version only) — may collect device identifiers and usage data; premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Storage & Security

All data you create within the App is stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, all associated data will be permanently removed from your device.

Data transmitted between the App and external services is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS). I implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You have control over your information. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings, limit analytics tracking through iOS Privacy settings, and delete all app data by removing the App from your device.

If you are in the European Union, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to object to processing. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of data sale (note: I do not sell data).

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact me and I will promptly delete it.

8. Additional Information

GokovaWind does NOT collect your name, email, phone number, precise GPS location, photos, contacts, or biometric data. No account is required. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. All preferences and cached weather data are stored locally on your device. GokovaWind operates from Germany; weather station and servers are located in Turkey. International data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR and CCPA. Usage data is typically retained for 12–24 months. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. You can manage tracking through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

9. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
