1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Pixmech ("I", "me", "my") handles information in connection with the Yol Durumapp ("the App"). I take your privacy seriously and am committed to protecting your personal data.

2. Data Collection

Yol Durum collects the following types of data to provide its functionality:

  • Precise location data — used to show nearby community reports, calculate proximity alerts, and let you submit reports at your current position
  • User-submitted report content — hazard, traffic, or police report type, location, and timestamp, visible to other users on the live map
  • Anonymous device identifier — used to track your own reports and enable the community upvote/dismiss verification system; no account or personal profile is required
  • App usage data and crash reports (anonymized) — feature usage and diagnostic logs to improve stability
  • Subscription status (free or Premium) — to unlock ad-free mode and CarPlay support
  • Device identifiers for advertising (free tier only) — used to serve and measure ads; not collected for Premium subscribers

3. Analytics & Tracking

The App may use third-party analytics and crash reporting services to help improve performance and user experience. These services collect anonymized usage data and do not include personal information.

You can manage tracking through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple — handles all in-app purchases, subscriptions, and payment processing securely
  • Mapping services (Apple Maps/MapKit) — render the live map and calculate your position relative to nearby reports
  • Analytics and crash reporting services — collect anonymized usage data to improve app performance and stability
  • Advertising networks (free version only) — may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve ads; Premium subscribers see no ads and are excluded from ad tracking

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Storage & Security

All data you create within the App is stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, all associated data will be permanently removed from your device.

Data transmitted between the App and external services is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (HTTPS/TLS). I implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Your Privacy Rights

You have control over your information. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings, limit analytics tracking through iOS Privacy settings, and delete all app data by removing the App from your device.

If you are in the European Union, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to object to processing. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know, delete, and opt-out of data sale (note: I do not sell data).

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact me and I will promptly delete it.

8. Additional Information

Yol Durum is a community-driven road reporting app. Reports you submit (type, location, and timestamp) are shared with nearby users to keep the community informed, but are not linked to your name or contact details — only an anonymous device identifier is used internally to prevent abuse and power the upvote/dismiss verification system. Reports automatically expire and are deleted after 24 hours. Precise location is used only while the App is in use (or briefly in the background to trigger proximity alerts) and is never sold to third parties. CarPlay integration displays the same map and alerts on your vehicle's screen and does not collect any additional data beyond what the App already collects. No account, email, or phone number is required to use the App. Yol Durum is operated from Germany; where data is processed outside the EEA by analytics or advertising partners, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are used in accordance with the GDPR.

9. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
